Natural Areas and Parks
Santa Margarita River has two areas with public access: Santa Margarita River Trail off Sandia Creek Drive about one mile past the intersection with De Luz Road; and Santa Margarita River County Park at intersection of De Luz Road and Sandia Creek Drive.

Live Oak Park, 2746 Reche Road. Picnic Tables, Parcourse, basketball courts, and walking trails. Hikes and interpretive programs may be scheduled by calling the Live Oak Part Coalition at 760 723-8780.

Scenic Drives
Ancient Oak Forest. Drive along Live Oak Park Road between Mission and Reche Road.

De Luz Road and Sandia Creek Road. Drive north from Mission on De Luz Road, continue to either Murrieta or Temecula.

Preserves of the Fallbrook Land Conservancy
Los Jilgueros Preserve: A 40-acre preserve just north of Fallbrook High School on the east side of Mission Road, is open to the public for jogging, dog-walking, studying native plants, or just relaxing.

Heller's Bend Preserve: On Heller's Bend Road west off of South Mission.

Dinwiddie Preserve: On Stage Coach Lane just east of the High School across from the Palomares House.
